Datafeed Response Codes

Every status a post to the datafeed endpoint can return, and what each one means.

Every post to the datafeed endpoint returns an HTTP status. When something is wrong it also returns a Stroom-Status header carrying the more specific code below, and a Stroom-Error header carrying the reason in words.

On success the response body is the post's receipt id, such as 1791981748008_0000_S_node1a: the receive time, a sequence number, S for Stroom or P for Stroom Proxy, and the node. It is not a header. Each hop that receives the data, whether a Stroom Proxy or Stroom, sets the ReceiptId attribute to the id it issued and appends that id to ReceiptIdPath. So a stream stored in Stroom has Stroom's own id as its ReceiptId, and every id in the chain, including the one the original sender was given, in ReceiptIdPath. ReceiptIdPath is what lets you trace a delivery through a chain of proxies, and the sender's recorded id is what you search it for.

A sender that records none of these cannot tell you why data is missing. Capture all three.

There are 26 codes.
